Harvest Mouse and Pretty Boxes

I know it's a bit out of season, but I just fancied using this stamp. The sketch is lovely and quite simple so I tried to keep my card quite simple too with a country look.

daisies are made using 2 different size woodware punches ,2 small circle punches and the leaves are floral punches.

I adore miniature things,I have 2 dolls houses and love all the little furniture. I also love little boxes,so I thought I'd dig out my sizzix bigz die,carry all boxes,and make a few. My son Sam has bagged the white one for valentines,to fill with a few chocolate truffles.

The white box is made with card featuring dry embossed leaves (hope you can see by the pics.
The checked box is made using a sheet of my minds eye double sided 12x12 called quiet contrary,a bargain at hobby craft 10p a sheet.They had loads of 12x12 papers there one day ,all 10p ,I bought about 50.
The butterflies are from a framelit ,stamp and die cut set,as mentioned in a previous post.
The flower is a die namics die with a pearl center.

still very cold here,but the sun is shining so off for a nice dog walk. My 2 poodles are dying to go,as usual ,and are running up and down the stairs. I wouldn't mind but they are both 11 and still act like pups.

A Toast To Love

I've not used a lili of the valley stamp for awhile now,I do love them, and have a huge box full to prove it. So I thought I would use this very cute stamp called Bubble Bath for a glamorous " love" card. The papers and circle surround are part of a 12x12 kit, Grace Taylor ,Vintage Elegance . They have a beautiful glitter effect and are very reasonably priced. I've added some more sparkle with stickles . The card ,love the shape ,is a new pack from craftwork cards, bit pricey £4.99 for 20 ,but nice for a change.

Snuggle Buddys

Just got back from one of my favourite craft shops, Crabapple Crafts at Lady Heyes in Cheshire. Gosh it was cold and misty up there,no views of the Cheshire plains today. Still plenty of shoppers and walkers though. Bought some shaped cards and clear bags,nothing exciting,but had a lovely chat to Ruth who works there on a Sunday....Hi Ruth ,if your looking in.

Another penny black stamp,from my sales bargain stash. The stamp is so cute but it's not big in size ,so I thought a bit of decoupage would bring out the image more...works well I think...more work but worth it!

The flower is a new product from Hero arts called framelits. You stamp your image and then cut it out with a matching die,how simple,I loved the idea and have bought 2 sets from cutting edge crafts,they have great prices and a super fast free delivery.

Take It Easy on your Birthday

My son Sam bought me 2 Joanna Sheen stamps for Christmas,both by the artist Giordando,they capture animals so well and are great to colour with your copics.
I just want to tickle that kittens tum.
This card is for a cat mad friend and says on your Birthday inside. Would make a good get well card too me thinks!

The Cats Whiskers

Hi there crafters,cold and wet here this afternoon and yet the morning was lovely.
A mixed day for me too,had some new blinds fitted to 4 windows,one is wood ,they look very nice.Not feeling to well though,nice to sit down,even is it's at my pc,I've had IBS for days,very painful!
A quicky card to show you,for my son's girlfriend ,for valentines. Me and my hubby don't bother,after near 25years I think it's safe to say we love each other without the sugary stuff.

Birthday Boy/Man Card

Why are men' cards a problem sometimes, I think it's because we can't use our pretty ribbons ,bows and flowers,that we like to make for the fairer sex....
I've kept my boy/man card simple as the Happy Birthday paper from Dovecraft and the cute penny black stamp,the perils of love, look just enough without adding embellishments,plus men like simple....and I'm not saying like them...lol...

Have A Mice Day and important blog info to read.

Joy of joys,my blog is now working probably thanks to a nice man on the google blog forum ,thanks Martin.I'm now using firefox as a browser,blogs are not working right with Internet explorer ,my side bar was at the bottom because of a broken tag on a post,since deleted,Martin found that.Since doing this post I've found using fire fox will not allow you to enter a url link to link to challenges,so now I'm swapping through 2 browsers. Blimey I think you must need a degree to blog... Some things on the pc i'm good at ,others it's a hard slog.Having never used a pc till I was in my 30's and not ever taken a class,it's a bit like crafting...trail and error but nowhere near as fun!

features a lovely penny black stamp,I've had a while. Me being me,totally naughty stamp crafting addict,I had to have accessories/embellishments to go with it,so I bought a fabulous die cut set with matching stamps from Die-namics. I've long thought stamps with the dies to match,no bad hand cutting,a great idea,then, trust the Americans,they produce them. I know other companies are following suit, more for me to buy...oh dear...
The papers are nitwits ,from an old crafting mag I've added some cute buttons fromDovecraft back to basics and a bit of butchers twine.

Spring Time Bunny

features a stamp I bought yesterday from hobby craft,Buttercup,bloom and grow set from trimcraft. A lovely set of 5 stamps for under £4 , they are clings with red rubber underneath and stamp beautiful .
I've coloured the image with pro makers and added a touch of pencil.
The papers ,with ink distressed edges are K&Co,the ribbon from a local craft shop,they sell bits of ribbons in bags for £1 and there is always a really yummy piece like the one featured.
This card is so Spring like and bright unlike the dull wet day here....roll on Spring.

Bonjour Mimi

I know there is no critter on my card but I couldn't resist this bargain stamp, I bought it from the Glitter Pot,half price.

I rifled through my many stamp boxes and found a Bonjour sentiment stamp and an Eiffel tower stamp,bought many moons ago at a stamp fair.
I coloured the cute image in with promarkers and cut it out.
The red roses embellishment is from a real old stash.
Paper is a 12x12 called so dellish,the other side features cooking utensils.

The Love Birds

Still windy here and now the rain is lashing down,mad dash to retreave the washing from the line.
It's not been a bad Winter so far,not the cold and snow of last year.
The sweet shop challenge this week has a great sketch,as usual,but this challenge has atwist,an alternative valentines.....
thinking cap on....I know ...love birds ...I had the perfect stamp Blossom Birds by Penny Johnson ,for Stampavie.
I've kept it monochrome,with rich warm golds and just a hint of green.

Another Birthday

Had a great night out,on Sunday, in Chester, went to the Raven folk club to watch a great young blue grass band called "Jaywalkers". They are so talented ,Jay has the most amazing voice and they are all great musicians. The only downer was I had a filling at the dentist on Monday morning...sore mouth as I had 2 injections .

Today has not started well ....missed the postman bringing 2 parcels of craft goodies,by 5 minutes,I was out walking the dogs, the post is normally much later...rang the sorting office ,they took 20mins to answer...."nearly gave up ",said I,"is there nobody there"..."yes"said the dozzy bugger on the other end of the line,"there's loads of us here!".....all I want to say is ..."is it me" aaaaaah
Loads of pc problems too and blogging problems, not sure my blog posts are working as they should and I can't comment on a lot of blogs.

Onto my card, I think the stamp and sentiment are fab together,the image is so amusing I kept my card really simple,just a bit of matting and some gem stars.

Auto Hog / One for a boy and one for a girl

Huddy and Alfie,my 2 toy poodles waiting on the stairs for their Dad.

What a bright and beautiful day today,like prober Winter ,I don't mind a walk in the cold if I'm all wrapped up and the sun shining in my craftroom is lovely for colouring in images.
I loved this stamp, as soon as I saw it,but it was always done kind of masculine,I wondered what the cute car would look like pink, just smashing me thinks....

Bountiful

Just got my card pics and dog walk over before the dark clouds formed,my walk was windy but the sun shone warm and bright.
I treated myself to some new Penny Black stamps.I know they are expensive and take up lots of room,well the wood ones I like do,but they are fabulous stamps and never let you down!
The stamp used in this card will become a real favourite of mine and the folks buying and receiving my cards I'm sure .....nothing says love like a big bunch of flowers....I adore flowers in my home and garden and have 3 vases full at the moment..flowers,papers and rubber stamps...oh my...

Country Companions ,2 freebees

Hi crafters
back to work this morning after a long break ,not too bad though,home for lunch time,thanks to Hubby's help.
Thought I'd show you this cute card made using 2 magazine freebee's.
The little mouse ,part of a clear set of country companions,was the free gift with papercraft inspirations, as are the flowers and leaves around the edge. The stamps are great and stamp really well,but what a bugger to pull off the sheet,had to be careful not to rip them.
The paper is part of a pad free with Quick cards,the other papers are yummy. One of our fav bloggers Juls,always with a heart is featured. I paper pieced the mouses little top and coloured the image with pro markers.

First Post,new blog. Annabel and Doggie

Hi Crafters,first post for me on this new blog.I had a crafting blog for about 2 years called jemscrafting blog and even ran a challenge, until one day I totally erased it! No it wasn't a mistake ,I wasn't feeling too good health wise,both mentally and pyhically ,and my blog had become like a part time job ,taking up lots of time and even detracting from my crafting, but I really missed the lovely blog ladies I met along the way and felt bad about just stopping my blog.
So now it's 2012 a new year and a new start. I'm going to post when and if I can and like wise with commenting. As my new blog name suggests my posting will all be cards and will all include an animal /creature and more than likely verge on the cute side.
