Valentots Love

I've got rid of that shopping sidekick plugin, thank goodness, don't ask me how , trial error , then luck....no more dates with Russian babes or buying an I phone... hurrah!

I bought this cute little stamp "valentots " ,   by art impressions just after Christmas , but was waiting for the right time to use it. I bought it from Sir Stampalot in the Winter sale.
I've coloured with pro and flex markers and added pink volume touch to the die cut, which is a memory box die, called honey blossom sprig,I have chopped it up and glued into three places.
I've added a checked brown ribbon bow, this was a tiny old piece I couldn't part with , the bow is made with a wire to tie and the tails added with glue dots, I then added a button from button basics in the center.
I've used a scalloped edge card from craftwork cards and rounded some of the corners with a woodware punch. The papers are bird song by  first edition.

challenges entered :

charisma cardz : pink and brown
cute card Thursday : a different corner
milk coffee : valentines
crafting for all seasons : buttons and bows
I love promarkers : love is all around
stampavie :love

The weather here has improved, can see the sun today ,but it's so windy, and the wind is hitting the front of the house , namely where my craftroom is, so I'm perished especially my feet.
Had a horrid day yesterday with the pc driving me mad , my unemployed and very moody son being the swine he turns into and a grumpy old Alfie growling at me . Lucky I have my lovely husband Bob or I'd have run away.

keep cheerful and warm. janex

Mo's Poodle

I've had a high old time with my pc, the trouble was in google chrome  it's mostly sorted but I have picked up the most annoying shopping side kick in my extensions (virus) that I can not remove. Any advice would be welcome. Things like dates with Asian babes etc are popping up and horrid flashing adds that give me a headache!!!!

Is'nt this new image from Mo's digital pencil so adorable, having 2 toy poodles I had to have it. The actual digi stamp has just 1 poodle, but I played around in paintshop pro , copied another , flipped it , then pasted it over the other and erased the background, so it looks like 2 .
My mum has 2 silver poodles, one a bit lighter than the other, this card is defiantly for her.
I've coloured with pro and flex markers. The sentiment stamp is part of a set bought from a stamp fair. The papers are Docraft back to basic. The pearl swirls are from the Hobby House and the ribbon old stash.

 challenges entered :

love to create : anything goes with a sentiment
the paper players : followed the sketch above.
squirrel and the fox : something new (mines a new digi stamp)
sweet stampin : ribbon
Emma's craft challenge: animals

will try and catchup with you all. Happy crafting. janex

Uptown Girls " Isabelle loves her ice cream " 1 in pastel ,1 in Brights

I love the image but it was the sentment that sold it to me ....if only that was true.....
I've coloured the stamp " Isabelle loves her ice cream " by stamping bella, with pro and flex markers.
I've added glamour dust to the skirt and icecream cones. The icecream embellishment is a spellbinder diecut. The papers are first eddition "Spring Drop". The sticker corners are from Hobby craft.

The same stamp called in bright promarkers to match the yummy paper "sweet tooth " by Bo Bunny. I've added perfect pearls in blue and pink and stickles glitter to the icecreams.

Im having pc problems at the moment , well just google chrome , it will not work, uninstalled and reinstalled to no avail. I've got a headache so can't be doing with it. So no challenges entered , just thought I'd post some cards for you to see.
It snowed really heavy here last night for about 4 hours , it's still lying on the ground but it's all mushy. All the postmen in Ellesmere Port and surrounding area where give the day off. So many lorries and cars where stuck on the motorway last night, poor things, must have been horrid.

enjoy your weekend. janex

I love coffee and cream shades , I coloured with pro and flex markers. The paper is linen closset by K&Co. The sentiment is a peeloff, real old stash. I used a small woodware circle punch to add a little intrest at the corners.

Uptown Girls

I can't say I was ever mad on the  Stamping Bella stamps until "uptown girls", I have bought 4 of them from Tracy at dies to die for, always a great service and lovely how she adds extra goodies in the form of die cuts in your order. This stamp is called "Victoria and Juliette's night out" and comes mounted on cling and with the sentiment.
I've used pro and flex markers to colour the image and had real fun paper peicing the dresses with my minds eye "fine and dandy paper". I've added ectra dimention to the dresses with perfect pearls in mint green and bronze stickles. A few star gems and a big organsa bow complete the glam look.

challenges entered:

Simon Says Stamp : paper piece it

sweet sketch Wednesday : followed the sketch above
Papertake weekly : tie up your loose ends (use ribbon)

The snow has stopped here and is melting away, can't say I'm sorry.
Went to the folk/music club in Port Sunlight , Wirral, last night, great night and an old man at the ripe old age of 89 , it was his birthday that day, got up and sang 2 songs and was amazing , a real character with a real young at heart attitude, hats off to him.

An Icy Bath

The just inklined cd that I used for this card is so packed with great images it's easy to miss them, I saw this image on Pauline's blog.I loved her gorgeous Christmas card, well I adore all her creations . I love Robbins even though I'm scared of them, wether it's on cards or in real life. We have a bird bath in the garden that the robins visit. Only one at a time though, in real life 3 would never bathe together they are such dominant little birds.
The lovely denim effect paper is from Hot off the press, issue 49 of creative cardmaking mag, as is the sentiment. I've decoupaged the image using pinflair and added German Glitter glass for a really frosty/snowy effect.

challenges entered :

Tuesday Alchemy : Winter Wonder

Walking In A Winter Wonderland

Thought it was about time I did a seasonal card, with all this snow around . It snowed a lot here this morning and is still snowing ,but it's fine snow now and not sticking.....must amend that , it's heavy again now.
When we came back from shopping ,the car skidded  as we turned into the drive, lucky nothing was in the way. To be honest I'm sick of it now because the sky is so dull and grey, it looks really pretty at first and then it looks patchy and mucky coloured.

I used a image from my best of just inklined cd, this one is a Christmas image  I had preciously over looked, must say I love it , nice for a Winter Anniversary I think. The papers are hot of the press, and are in creative cardmaking mag issue 49, I got this mag for half price yesterday, I love a bargin and the winter and floral papers inside are gorgeous. I've coloured with pro and flex markers and added some glue covered with glamour dust for the snow effect.

Penny Black Uplifting Occasion

I think this stamp "uplifting occasion " is popular with a lot of us, it always make me smile. In the past I've coloured it in with rather bold colours, this time I keep the colours a pale pastel using my pro and flex markers, must say I like this soft look.
The pretty rose papers are do craft , vintage notes, they have a nice linen texture. The rose ribbon  trim is from the Hobby House and the sentiment is craftwork cards.

challenges entered :

Sketch Saturday : followed the above sketch
sweet stampin :show us your frillies/frills

Have a hoot with your free stamps

I like card mags and often buy them for the free gifts, in Papercraft essentials this month is 2 free gifts , a great set of woodware stamps featuring owls and a set of pretty papers.

I've used them on both my cards , pink for a girl and blue for a boy. The blue one is for a 17 year old called David, hope he likes it.

On the pink card I used 2 spellbinder nestie dies and a Martha Stewart punch and a woodware punch for the sentiment. Inked the edges with brown chalk ink and added a pretty flowery ribbon from Hobby Craft.

On the blue card I.  used 2 nestie circle dies, a fern punch and a woodware punch , plus blue bakers twine and a wooden bird embellishment coloured with promarkers.

challenges entered :

Allsorts : use dies and punches
crafts 4 eternity : punch it
simply create too : anything goes
Fairy Tale : my newest stamp (I bought this yesterday)

Hope your all enjoying the snow, we had a great time this morning with the poodles. They love the snow and charged all over the snowy golf course. Because it's so exposed there , the snow is always deeper and lasts awhile, that will keep those pesky golfers off!
Saw a man get out of his car dressed only in shorts and tee-shirt, there was also a bloke in just a tee- shirt when the reporter was doing a weather report in a very snowy area....is it me or are they total plonkers !

Penny Black " Bee Costume"

Another Penny Black stamp, love this cutie, " bee costume", I'd love to see that in real life. When I was a teenager I had a big ginger cat called Tiger, he was a real softy , one day I tried the duffel coat from my Paddington bear on him , and the red wellies, he didn't like the wellies ,so shot out of my bedroom and out of the front door still wearing the duffel coat. He disappeared for over an hour, when my Mum saw him she didn't see the funny side, unlike me .....what a wicked girl was I !

I've coloured my image with flex and promarkers markers . I've used crystal and yellow stickles glitter, the papers are first edition j'adore . The yellow card is bazil basics and the black matt is just the edges ruled with a black flex marker to make a framed effect. The little bee hive and bee are old buttons from a pack bought at Hobby craft.

Challenges entered :

I love promarkers : layer it up
Dutch Dare : buttons
totally stampalious : favourite trio of colours
artistic inspirations : anything goes

I now it's a summery card for such a cold day here, but I want to have a bit of brightness . It has started to snow here, only very fine , but according to the forecast we are all having big snow in the UK tommorrow. This will please some and frighten others.

Penny Black Bountiful in two colour ways

Now I've started on the Penny Black stamps I can't stop, them and the new flex markers . I had some great comments on the colouring on my last card , I'd put it down to my new pens and the paper I'm using , I bought a pack of 20 sheets of A4 Neenah classic crest card by crafter's companion. Mine cost £3.99 at my local craft shop. Being a thrifty girl (apart from my obsessive stamp buying oh and I should add paterned papers ) I though oooh bit expensive, but let me tell you it's worth it , great results , no bleeding with alcohol pens and a lovely crisp white look.

For my two cards I used a Penny Black stamp called "bountiful ", one of my favs .

The red and brown card , the papers are First Edition j'adore, the sticky ribbon embellishments, do craft Hampshire. Sentiment craftwork cards and a few red gem from hobby craft.

The soft pastel card , the papers and sentiments are a new do craft range, vintage notes, great for valentine or Anniversaries. The ribbon and flower gems old stash, probably hobby craft..

The Perils of love and a praise and a moan

Another Penny Black stamp , this one is called "perils of love", I got it awhile ago for half price, I love a bargain!
I've coloured with my new flex markers,so impressed with these and the letraset company, I've ordered another half price set because they gave me a £3 off an already half price set , because the order was a bit delayed and then refunded the P&P, fabulous....unlike Oyster stamp, I ordered from them 28th Dec, they took the money even though they where on holiday till 3 Jan, I didn't know...then did they post my stamps no ....they have gone to CHA now and will not return for awhile and could not be bothered to post my order ... if I get it by the end of the month it will be something. I will never order from this company again , very poor service , it's a wonder they have a business at all especial during these hard times.....Stampalot on the other hand are excellent , ordered on the 28 Dec arrived the next morning...nothing wrong with the postal service my way.
Sorry moan over ....The papers used are do craft  "happy Days " 12x12 pad. The sticky strip, sentiment and butterfly are also do craft.,from a 2pk set called Hampstead , another bargain , £1 in the sale at Hobby Craft.

flourishes timeless Tuesday : colour challenge
Penny black and more : love is in the air

Bob has gone back to work, his back is still hurting but not as much, the trouble is he gets bored at home , not a problem when you craft though , I never get bored.
Cold and frosty here but no real snow as yet, nice and dry today, it's the wind and rain I hate.

Bicycle made for two

No matter what stamps catch my eye and I end up buying , I always come back to Penny Blacks. This cute stamp is called "Mimi  goes tandem". I've coloured with my new half price flex markers and I'm pleased with the results , lovely soft points make it easy to colour and the colours are bright an easily blendable.
The folage stamps are great impression, the fern is a new one , bought for a bargin £1. The sentiment is from a Hero Art set called "bee happy",
The spotty paper is Happy Days 12x12 by do craft , the yellow paper is embossed with dots and the heart ribbon hobby craft. This would make a nice valentine or a Birthday card for a sweetheart.

challenges entered:
craft your passion :  gone country
penny black and more : love is in the air

lots of rain here , not even light yet. Bob's back is alittle bit better and the meal and evening yesterday ( our late Christmas celebration) was a great success  , we had lots of fun playing a game called scatorgries .

Fresh as a daisy

I like the fresh look you get with blue gingham (I used craft creation , blue gingham 12x12 ) and the daisy image from "just inklined " cd, seemed ideal for a simple country style. I got a fabulous deal on flex markers, the 12 pen sets from letraset are half price, I've used them to colour my image, that I've used as an over hang on the spellbinder circle nesties..
I've added a gingham bow and a yellow flower button and a sentiment from craftwork cards.

challenges entered :

Love Bunny

I love house mouse stamps but think the bunnies are the cutest especially this one . It's from a house mouse and friends set called "bunny love". I've coloured the image with promarkers and used papers from a new 12x12 by first edition called blank canvas, silly name because they are anything but blank but are so gorgeous and at £14.99 for 48 sheets ,really good value. I think K&Co have a seriously cheaper and excellent rival in first edition!

The flowers are made using 3 different size daisy dies by joy craft, I've but a small flower spacer and a pink brad in the centres, turned out pretty I think . The sentiment is from a scrap booking sheet , old stash. I've added 3 pearls and inked the edges with cherry chalk ink.

The sentiment is also from art impressions and I just had to have it because it makes me laugh ,goes great with this stamp and will go well with others I have.
Now anyone who is a regular visitor to this blog will know I never make clean and simple cards, so this was a really challenge for me, must say I'm pleased with the results. I've coloured with promarkers and added a red border around the image.
