Pretty In Pink using die cuts

What lovely Easter weather we are having here in NW England, sunny with blue skies , bit of a cold wind but I'm not complaining. Went to my local craft shop yesterday , bought some lovely new stash , then went to the antique shop and bought some pretty china to add to my collection.
My card is very girly and pink I must say , I went all out with my pretty dies . I used Marianne dies , creatables LR0300,that creates the ornate top of the card , a Marianne parasol die  and a Marianne bird house die . The out pink circle is a desiree die and the word dies are tattered lace.
I've added a white doily a bird and heart embellishment all from Hobby Craft and added detail with liquid pearls. The gingham paper is craft creation 12x12. The image with the rose is cut from 12x12paper , secret garden from graphic 45.

challenges entered :
Marianne design : anything goes using at least 3 Marianne dies
Natalie and Amy : embossing (I've dry embossed all my die cuts)
Fusion : photo inspiration
the corrosive challenge  : pretty pastels

Off to do the ironing , all the Spring /Summer wear I've washed and dried, never mind I'll watch create and craft whilst doing it.

enjoy the rest of the Easter break and happy crafting.janex

Happy Easter And A Touch Oriental

This week is flying by , Good Friday Tomorrow and then an Easter weekend. We will be spending some time gardening and sometime with family . It's my Mums Birthday on Monday so they are coming to us for dinner then instead of Easter Sunday.
I've made lots of Easter cards and sold most of them , the one in this post  is for family, I gave a cute rabbit one to the old lady I clean for , she loved it and gave me a kiss and hug, it's nice to make others happy with a card .
My Easter card features an image from a Joanna Sheen cd rom called the "card makers year " , a lot of the images are Victorian (quite an old cd but defo a goodie ). My hubby thinks the chicks pulling the image is rather creepy and strange , my Son and I think it's really cute , how about you ?
I've used  a Marianne design dies , ivy corners and a threaded ribbon border . The detail picked out with liquid pearls.
The sentiment is computer generated , the font is Miss smarty pants . I cut it out with spellbinder nesties.

challenges entered :

created with love : Easter
cards in envy : Easter is on it's way
paper take weekly : Easter
oldie but a goodie : Easter

The second card , with the oriental look , features a bird on a branch and swirl embellishments cut on my silhouette cameo . The gems where from hobby craft 'half price' in the sale . The paper is diecuts with a veiw (really old stash ). The heart was die cut then embossed with a crafter's companion die and the bird was embossed with swiss dots folder.

paper players : colour challenge

Well Happy Easter crafting friends, have fun and laughter , lots of chocs and lots of natures bounty.

A Bunny Pink Wedding

Aren't they just the cutest bunny couple ! The image bp and insert are all from the Hollypond Hill cd rom by Susan Wheeler , brought to us by Joanna Sheen.
I was commissioned to make this by one of my sons colleges, I have spent Sunday making Easter cards for other people in his office unfortunately he's taken them to work today and I haven't been able to photograph them.
My card features die cut words by "Tattered lace ", a real most have die and hearts punched with woodware scalloped heart punches. I've added 3 small pretty flowers and pearl hat pins from wild orchid . The little pearls are liquid pearls , I'm smitten with these lately and I'm using them on every female card.
The card it's self is from Hobby craft and comes with the lazer cut hearts featured on it , lovely for special romantic cards.

All The 3's

Three's always work well in cards , so I used 3 Marianne design  die cut trees in pots and 3 bird on a branch , cutting the bird off the branch to perch on the tree instead , I think it looks a bit funny, with the over sized birds, but none the less pleasing design. My patterned  paper is desert blooms by first edition and the plain. card is core essentials . I've sanded every thing for a shabby chic look then added 3 gems to make bird eyes  The sentiment is tattered lace , the one with lots of great sentiments , I managed to buy one from ebay , a must have for any crafter!
My card is a large square 8x8 .

challenges entered :
the paper players : three spree (feature things in 3's)
allsorts : no flowers
alphabet challenge : D for die cuts

To end with a picture of Hudson  AKA Mr Bunny , he has just been bathed and clipped by me , he is 13 and has very few teeth but I still think he's a real cutie . He loves his big fluffy basket and doesn't like to share with my other poodle Alfie.
Have a nice evening. janex

Decoupage Pansies , from the heart of the garden

I've been commissioned to make this card for my Mum's hubby to give her, I know she will love it because there "her colours " as she puts it , matching the new colour scheme in her front room . I wounder does anyone else make cards to fit in with their or others home decor?
I've used "heart of the garden " cd rom by Joanna Sheen . I've decoupaged some of the pansies and distressed the card stock with a crafters companion sander. I've added some lilac ribbon and a few jose rose nail heads to add a finishing touch.
