From the heart of the garden

 Hello crafting friends , it's been mighty cold here today , -6 in the garden this morning , I made sure I defrosted the bird bath and left plenty of food for the birds , then when I looked again about half an hour later , feathers everywhere , cat must have pounced on a wood pigeon , sure it was ok though

My card has been made using a Joanna Sheen cd , Jane Shasky ,from the heart of the garden , it is my all time favourite. I've mounted on gold mirri card .This Christmas card is for a man an I think it has a masculine look . The sentiment reads "to a special friend at Christmas " this is from hunkydory , it looks great on the card but doesn't photograph well.
The pine branch die is from tattered lace , perfect match I think , cut from white card and coloured with promarkers . I've added tartan ribbon and some stickles glitter to all the branches  .

Pop Up Box for a 50th

I've been asked to make a card for a friend of ours by his Mum (also a friend of ours ) , it is for his 50th Birthday . He is music mad and loves a pint of real ale , so I guess this card ticks the boxes
We are all going to surprise him tomorrow in a restaurant , for a meal and drinks .
I cut the pop up box card using a tattered lace die , so much easier than all that measuring . The music related elements are stamped from a set with creative stamping magazine issue 31 .I cut them out, using a spellbinders circle die for the records  and coloured them with promarkers . The man with the pint is a clear stamp I have had in my stash for years , I'm sorry I can not find the make. The musical notes are a punch and the lace musical score I bought at a stamp fair . I've added a few black peel offs .
It's a very personal card and making it was a labour of love , I hope Mum and Son like it and our friend has a wonderful 50th .

Penny Black " carolers "

My card features a Penny Black stamp called carolers , those singing chickens make me smile . I've coloured them with promarkers and added stickles on the snow . My photos lately are poor , I can't get to grips with my new camera . The lamp post die is by first edition , part of a set , I've added glittery green ribbon , a holly embellishment and 2 bells . The sentiment is really old stash and the paper is graphic 45 . The outer edge in gold is done with a pilot marker , a trick of mine that saves using gold card .
The insert is nitwits Christmas .

Hunkydory snowy season Christmas Delight

It's pretty cold today , feeling a bit more like Autumn , the falling leaves are like a beautiful carpet , sad to think the trees will soon be bare . That is why I like Christmas decorations , festive lights on the darkest days .
My card is made using Hunkydory snowy season Christmas Delight. I was terrible to photograph , and looks much better in real life . I die cut a window through the front of the card ,using a memory box die , I used Hunkydory snowy assetate and a do craft chalk pen for a winter effect , The inside features a snowy garden and through the window you can see the little robin perched on the spade . The tree die is from crafters companion , I've decorated it with coloured gems and a red bow from hobby craft. The ivy around the window is a Marianne die and the holly die is from tattered lace.
