Mothers Day Gifts

Long time no post....
lots and lots of distractions lately, some good some not so good. I've not felt like making a card in a wee while, not like me at all, but I have taken up sewing. I adore pretty printed fabrics, like I adore lovely papers and anything miniature, so I'm exploring other crafting projects.
Had a bit of bad news as I'm being made redundant from my job at the church after 11 years , money is in short supply for the Methodist Church on all fronts ,so bye bye Jane. It has caused a big upset for many people as it wasn't just my job but my place of worship and my second home, the Church people are my friends so the decision was hard.
Anyway I thought I would share the 2 Scottie Dogs, I have sewn for my Mum and Mother in Law for Mothers day. The materials where fat quarters, bought from Lady Heyes Cheshire. The ribbons ,bells and roses from my stash.
The patern is a free down load by a wonderful American blogger, Jenny at Allsorts and the link is here.
They are so fun and easy to make, the ones here are the flat ones with 2 legs but I have also made a 3d felt one with 4 legs, I will show this at a later date.
They are now wrapped ,the tags are stamped with nitwit stamps, free gift with simply homemade mag.

Oh Jane, I'm so sorry to hear your news. No wonder you haven't felt like making cards!

Your little doggies are fabulous. I think you should do what Pinky suggests. You never know - as one door closes ...

Sending you a big hug,
xxx
