Happy Easter And A Touch Oriental

This week is flying by , Good Friday Tomorrow and then an Easter weekend. We will be spending some time gardening and sometime with family . It's my Mums Birthday on Monday so they are coming to us for dinner then instead of Easter Sunday.
I've made lots of Easter cards and sold most of them , the one in this post  is for family, I gave a cute rabbit one to the old lady I clean for , she loved it and gave me a kiss and hug, it's nice to make others happy with a card .
My Easter card features an image from a Joanna Sheen cd rom called the "card makers year " , a lot of the images are Victorian (quite an old cd but defo a goodie ). My hubby thinks the chicks pulling the image is rather creepy and strange , my Son and I think it's really cute , how about you ?
I've used  a Marianne design dies , ivy corners and a threaded ribbon border . The detail picked out with liquid pearls.
The sentiment is computer generated , the font is Miss smarty pants . I cut it out with spellbinder nesties.

challenges entered :

created with love : Easter
cards in envy : Easter is on it's way
paper take weekly : Easter
oldie but a goodie : Easter

The second card , with the oriental look , features a bird on a branch and swirl embellishments cut on my silhouette cameo . The gems where from hobby craft 'half price' in the sale . The paper is diecuts with a veiw (really old stash ). The heart was die cut then embossed with a crafter's companion die and the bird was embossed with swiss dots folder.

paper players : colour challenge

Well Happy Easter crafting friends, have fun and laughter , lots of chocs and lots of natures bounty.

Gorgeous cards Jane - both so very different in style. Nothing creepy about the chicks as far as I'm concerned - I think it's gorgeous image.
Have a great Easter.(I'll be dancing a lot of it - no surprise there!)

Sorry for my late visit, I've been busy traveling and doing spring cleaning in between some card making and blogging. But I had to head over to tell you I find the chick image absolutely gorgeous, love the vintage feel of it and the decorative corner die cuts. Such a great choice of DP too!
