I got him up our road , stopping , starting , stopping starting , then I saw the shouting woman in the car , I told her I loved my dog and even had a pram for him , she told me I should have used it then screamed abuse at me across the road and said she would report me for cruelty if she knew where I lived . I told her where I lived and said you go ahead report me , she screamed at me more so I walked off home . Once home I took my dogs coat off feed him his lovely breakfast with chopped up fresh chicken , he ate the lot , then had a doggy treat and went to snore in his basket (one of 3) . I shed a few tears and phoned my husband at work to tell him . I think maybe my little poodle should be put to sleep , but that is such a sad thing to do , I wish he was young again , I didn't have so much pain in my body and I wish people would think what they say without knowing the full story .
I used Tattered lace dies , travel in style and with love (free with the December edition of tattered lace mag . The background is Hunkydory card , from the pamered pets kit . The squares are cut with Sue Wilson double pierce dies . I've paper pieced the layers and coloured with pro markers , just a little purple bow to finish it off .
challenges entered :allsorts : paper piecing
passion for promarkers : all creatures great and small
for anyone who takes the time to read what I've wrote , thanks , I'm sorry to go on but I needed to share this. Hope you don't think I'm too cruel , I can assure you my Huddy is as well and loved as he can be .

here is an add on of further events :
While I was at the hairdressers this afternoon an RSPA officer came to our house , my hubby had Huddy in the car , he must come even a short way because he is very spoilt , the office was posting a letter through the door .He saw Huddy and could see he is old but very well cared for , he said that old dogs can be very stubborn and will not walk at times and he understood the situation . Pity the woman who reported me never listened . I will never take my poodle out again unless in the pram , so I guess like this die ,he will travel in style . Jane x

I'm so sorry to read your story Jane, people are quick to criticise when they don't have a clue about the true circumstances. I always think that if an animal is eating then it is happy and you will know when the time has come to say goodbye, don't make any snap decisions just because and ignorant person has upset you.
Your card is lovely, such a pretty design.
Take care.

I hope the RSPA Officer goes back to the woman and tells her how well looked after Huddy is. Don't let this upset you anymore.

Oh Jane my heart goes out to you it must have been an awful situation for you to bear, I can understand that you were upset, I would have been too, but Huddy is well loved and very happy so there is nothing for you to worry about, he still enjoys his life with you and I am sure it is not time for him to leave you yet. My beloved Polo was over 17 when I had to let him go he was almost blind, deaf and unable to walk, but his mind was still active like a puppy, it is hard but I am sure Huddy will be around for awhile yet, I wonder if this nasty woman would have reacted the same way to someone younger like a male, I bet she would have thought twice, people always seem to feel safe attacking the weaker parties.
On a brighter note Jane your card has brought me so much pleasure and delight the doggy is a cutie so are the fabby papers and colours, a perfect card for an animal lover.

Oh I am so sorry to hear your story, I too wish people would think before they talk. Your card is just delightful.
Hugs Diane
There is no accounting for some people Jane, try and put it out of your mind as Huddy is well pampered and loved. Thanks for joining us at Allsorts as well.

So sorry to hear your tale of woe, but I agree with Pauline, you will know when the time has come to say goodbye, don't let an ignoramus push you into a rash decision.
Lovely cute card. Thank you for joining in my challenge at PFP

Super cute card Jane. I love the adorable image and your colouring is perfect. Thanks for sharing with us at PFP this week. Hugs, Denise x
I am sorry you had to go through such a distressing situation. Most people these days seem to over-react without learning the facts first. It sounds like your Huddy is treated like a king in your house. Ignore the ill informed woman and try to forget it, you know the truth. Sending hugs to you all x x
Sounds like a stressful day, so sorry you had to go through that and totally understand you're upset.
Such an adorable card though, surely traveling in style there:)
OMG what is the world coming to Jane. I am so sorry you were so wrongfully attacked by that nasty excuse for a woman! We all know how much you adore and care for your doggies and how heartbroken you will be some day in the future. Why do people need to put their oar into situations they have only witnessed for seconds and think they are experts. She could have approached you gently and given you time to explain if she was that concerned. I hope you have put it behind you now. Sending you lots of hugs and Huddy too xx. Your cute little card is so adorable.
Sorry to hear your story, some people are just too quick to jump to conclusions.
Gorgeous creation, thanks for joining Allsorts challenge, good luck.
Happy crafting
