Imagination sparkle medium Lavender and lace

Went to "Happy Stampers " craft show on Saturday and bought some more crafting stash. My card features products from imagination crafts . I've applied royal purple  sparkle medium on to black glossy card and used a stencil template called bay leaf. You stick it down with masking tape ,and  use a spatula to apply the sparkle medium and then peel off. The hardest part is waiting for the image to dry (about 1 hour) . It dries hard and sparkly with no glitter shedding.
I used purple bazil card , a lacy sticky border from hobby  craft and a Martha Stewart happy birthday punch. It  looks very striking in real life and was very simple to create.

Heart of the garden Mothers Day

For my card I used "heart of the garden " Jane Shasky cd rom from Joanna Sheen . I love this cd , it is packed with glorious designs and I adore the decoupage . I have recently started making big cards 8x8 , they have much more impact and really show decoupage images off well.
The images are matted onto bazil papers that have been sanded for that lovely soft vintage look. I've added a green silk ribbon . The sentiment is by "pink petticoat " and I've added hot fix nail heads and inked the edges with Tim Holtz crushed olive distress ink.

The sun is trying to break through here at last , doesn't a bit of sun gladden the soul also the lovely spring flowers brightening our days , I always love seeing the cheerful daffs especially along side roads .
Not had a very nice week or so , family upsets , so I haven't felt like blogging . Putting on a happier face and I've got the "Happy Stampers " craft show to look forward to on Saturday.

from the heart of the garden

Spring is trying to break through but there's a cold north wind blowing here, not very warm and not very sunny ,unlike my card . I've really embraced the pretty in pink with this card for my Mum's birthday next month.
I've used a Joanna Sheen cd , from the heart of the garden by Jane Shasky , I love this cd and always come back to it , the art work is wonderful and colourful . The image , backing paper, sentiment  and inserts are all from the cd . I cut out some flowers from the bp and put foam pads on the backs, nice way to embellish subtly . Ive added a wavey pink border around the blue frame and a pretty pink and white spotty bow.

Another Gus digi stamp from bugaboo , isn't he great ! today he's golfing but can't find his ball .
I've coloured the image with promarkers and modgepodged the glasses and ball. The papers, checks , by paper cellar. A few golfing sticker embellishments from hobbycraft  complete the fun card.

We are going to another funeral today , my husbands Grandma, a lovely lady who died at the age of 99.
It's so dull and foggy here I wish it would brighten up soon, funerals are sad without dank dull weather adding to it.
After the funeral there is a gathering of the mourners at a Cheshire golf club , so I guess my card is slightly fitting.

Spring box card

When is a box not a box ....when it's a card .....
I think this is a great idea , 3d paper crafting but it folds totally flat and fits into an envelope. My box card is a Silhouette America cutting file , I cut on my cameo machine , but there are some tutorials on the web to do by hand. I've used up lots of differnt papers , the blue stripe is by craft creation (been in the draw for years ), the pink is first edition bird song (another old pad ) and the embellishments bazil and craft paper.
I'm going to make quite a few Easter box cards , some for family and one for our mantelpiece. I think they are so cute and a bit different , easy on the postal costs too .

Easter Parade

Another card made with the "Jayne Netley Mayhew " digi cd , I'm loving this cd , lovely to have the choice of colouring your own stamps , I hope Joanna Sheen will do more cd roms like this.
I coloured the chick with promarkers and inked all edges with distress ink ,mustard seed. I used 2 circle nesties and a spellbinder basket die . I punched out some oval pastel card for the eggs and added a ruched ribbon frill and a tiny blue bow. The lovely backing paper is also from the cd . The sentiment was from hobby craft .

Jayne Netley Mayhew digi , Yorkshire Terrier

My Nan had a Yorkshire terrier called Pip , he was a lovely little dog, I loved to brush his fur and tie his topknot in a little red bow. He looked very much like the dog on my card . He loved tea with milk in a china saucer and for some mad reason raw potato peelings.
I coloured my image with flex markers , the brush like nibs are good for creating fur but to be honest the image is that well drawn it's a cinch to colour.
The bp is birdsong by first edition "8x"8 pad. The birthday ribbon is from hobby craft and the big pink gems are ancient stash from lakeland , they don't even sell craft stuff any more ....I'm such a craft horder....
The diecut circles are spellbinder dies and the pink border was cut on my cameo.
