Bee Happy

I wonder if bees are happy ? they are certainly a happy sighting for most of us and we defiantly need them in our world.

No stamping on this card, only dies and Tim H inks. The big slim braided circle die from Pink Fresh . The other dies where in a card mag , Lets Make Cards issue 85. The sentiment is one from my stash .It took awhile to make , but I'm pleased with the detail and the very cute little bee.

MFT Party Like A Pirate

I've used "Party Like A Pirate" stamp and die set from MFT. The inside of the card is stamped with the  sentiment "Party Like A Pirate" , which I think would be good for a young child but even an adult. I coloured with pro markers in sea greens , greys and beige's and I love how it turned out. The pattern paper is from the works , from a 12x12 pad called "travel", I love the scrapbook pads from them , great quality and only £3. I used kraft card on the back layer and stenciled with Tin Holtz ink using a creative expressions paint splashes stencil , then I splattered the paper and card with white darwi ink (I use this for parchment craft).

challenges entered :

Sunday Stampers : follow the sketch (see above)
cardz for guys : explore outdoors

Altenew - Dies -" Layered Floral Elements "all in blue

shock horror it's not a MFT or cute or critter , I do floral sometimes !
A new set for me Altenew layered floral elements . I cut them out of white card and then coloured with promarkers . The blue lacy paper background is "florabunda" paper pad  by Hunkydory. The sentiment I did on the pc , I think the pink letters give a pop from all the blue. Touches of white gel pen complete the look .

Snow Buddies "in unusual colours"

Well when you say challenge ...as in a card challenge ...well I challenged myself in a way , to create a Christmas card in these non traditional colours . Maybe it shouldn't work ! In my opinion it does.

The stamped and die cut image are from MFT "snow buddies" , I think the little dog ,in the scarf , is the most cutest dog stamp MFT do  , and they have a lot and so do I. The sentiment is from crafters companion (I think) the stitched rectangle die is one I bought from Ebay , the paper is from the range . I've coloured with pro markers . The snowflake die is from Tattered Lace. The sparkly adhesive paper is by Xcuts.

Bridge Card and Sunny Smiles

This one is a new one to me , a "bridge card" , I watched this video and took inspiration from the wonderful Jennifer McGuire Ink .
I bought a paper trimmer and scorer, from Hobby Craft (half price £7) I usually use a craft knife for cutting , this works well for cutting ,measuring and scoring and at that price not much to lose.
I cut it like the video to fit  small A2 envelope . The stamp and die sets are both MFT , Town Bear and puppy kisses . Lawn fawn stitched hill die and Hi There speach bubble.. Coloured with pro and brush markers.
This card stands up well but folds flat for posting.

challenges entered:
crafty cardmakers : lots of layers
shopping our stash : pile it on
I've tried to keep as minimal as possible ,for me anyway , as I wanted this for a male card . The background stamps  , flowers , sentiment and toucan are from a MFT set called Polynesia Paradise  . The circle die is a di namics , the beach scene is a die from Hello Bluebird called Ocean Scene. I've coloured with promarkers and add nuvo drops to flower centers and the birds eye.
2nd card
Dies R Us : baby it's hot outside (hot colours )
make my Monday : on the beach

The sun is in and out here today , not quite beach weather but ok for drying the washing.

Totally tropical

Hello crafty friends , the hot weather continues here in North West England. Lovely if you can dip in a pool or the sea , not so nice for those working ,wearing masks and no fans allowed. I tidied my craft room yesterday , not the best job in the heat , but it had to be done.

My card features MFT polynesian paradise , stamp and die set, coloured with pro and brush markers. I've used bright tropical colours, I love this combination yellow, orange and green.
The background paper I did on the pc . I added aloha word die in glitter foam , cut a circle window , dotty die in the middle and added nuvo drops in the flower centers.

Bring out the sunshine and Pink Blooms

An aptly named stamp , for the weather here , MFT " bring out the sunshine". Such a pretty girl , in her paper pieced gingham dress and hat . The papers are from a pad called florabunda , by Hunkydory . I got inspiration from the lovely butterfly paper , fussy cut several little butterflies to look like they are in flight. I added some diamond gems for the vapour trail, wouldn't it be wonderful if butterflies left real diamonds in their wake.
The image is coloured with pro and brush markers , the sentiment is computer generated , the font used is called , ink free, I think it looks similar to the ones on the MFT pure innocence stamps. The square dies are from Sue Willson double & pierced squares .

challenges entered :
Double D's : butterflies
The cutie pie challenge : hip to be square (use squares and must be cute )
Dream Valley : add gems, pearls or both

for my second card , not a cutie  , more of a grown up card , no critters either.
My card features a die and stamp set called bloom , it was the free gift with issue 191 of Simply cards & Papercraft. I coloured with pro and brush markers . The fancy square die is from Paper Rose and is called Amberley Floral Square. I've used nuvo jewel drops ,rosewater, in the corners and dotted on the flowers. A gold elastic tied bow finishes the card.
Another hot day today , lovely day for photographing.

The top picture , shows my card resting on , one of my favourite plants , Sedum , I grow several varieties in the garden , this one is dark pink when it comes out and the butterflies love this late bloomer , so I thought it an apt place to photograph my card.

HAPPY WEDDING DAY

I've crafted and made cards forever really , I love stamping and colouring with alcohol markers , but about 2 years ago a friend of mine introduced me to Parchment craft and I became hooked . I use the Groovi system from Clarity stamps and pergamano tools. It is very much a labour of love , time consuming but rewarding and very mindful .
The lace edge on this card uses a Alice duo plate from groovi. It is all embossed ,pricked and snipped with tiny perga snips by hand . The actual image is a Groovi club plate , embossed ,Shaded (called white work) and coloured from behind with coloured pencils .
I hope you like it . I will not be parting from it till a very very special wedding takes place .

MFT Woof Pack

Decorating of the bedroom done, yipeee, lots of crafting time now.

I've used Woof Pack stamps and dies from MFT , the puppy's are so cute and sometimes mischievous . My background die Slim diagonal stripes by  Pink fresh Studio. I've coloured with promarkers. Heat embossed the sentiment . The balloons are sequins with black embroider twill.
My card is masculine in look , I think, because of the colours and no frilly bows ,gems etc. I choose dogs because they are my favourite , soft and cuddly and never answer you back , cats are great too but kill birds ....me no like that..

challenges entered :
Color throw down : (see pic above)
